Kuala Lumpur: A director and a former director of a government agency in northern Peninsular Malaysia are among 13 individuals remanded by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on suspicion of soliciting and accepting approximately RM2.5 million in bribes from contractors.

The suspects are believed to have been involved in corrupt practices related to the awarding of direct negotiation projects. Investigations are ongoing as the MACC continues to gather evidence into the alleged offences. Next..
