SERDANG – 30 October 2024: Today, UPM conducted a 2024 year-end account closing briefing at the Responsibility Center (PTJ) level. The briefing aimed to provide a clear understanding of the account closing process and the importance of maintaining the integrity of the University's Financial Statements. Held at the Veterinary Medicine Faculty Briefing Hall, the session saw the participation of 400 attendees both physically and virtually from Serdang, Bintulu, and Port Dickson.
The main speaker, Ms. Nur Asriati Jasmi from the Financial Accounting Division, explained the importance of Financial Statements and the 2023 audit findings, emphasizing the shared responsibility in ensuring UPM obtains an Unqualified Audit Certificate. Following that, Ms. Yusnawati Mat Isa from the Staff Facilities Finance Division presented on financial scope covering Budget, Procurement, Payments, Revenue Management, Asset Management, and Accounting.
Several representatives from the Budget Section and the Finance Division were also present to respond to participants’ questions. Questions raised either via the chat on Google Meet or physically in the hall were answered concisely and clearly by the speakers.

With the understanding gained, it is hoped that we can all contribute to UPM achieving a Clean Certificate every year. Thank you to everyone who attended.
