SERDANG, 16 June 2026 – A casual talk program titled “Small Actions, Big Impact” featuring renowned social media icons Amin x Abid successfully attracted members of the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) community in conjunction with Putra Synergy Month UPM 2026. The event was held at the Grand Hall of the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre (PKKSSAAS), UPM.

The program, which took place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., provided students and university staff with the opportunity to hear firsthand accounts of experiences, challenges, and inspirations from the twin digital content creators, who are widely recognized for promoting positive messages and adopting a relatable approach to conveying social values.

Through the theme “Small Actions, Big Impact,” Amin x Abid emphasized that every individual has a role to play in creating positive change, beginning with small actions carried out consistently.

“Many people wait for a big opportunity to make a difference, when in fact significant impact begins with the small things we do every day. Small acts of kindness, when carried out consistently, can create a meaningful impact on society,” said Amin during the sharing session.

Abid, meanwhile, stressed that young people should be courageous in challenging themselves and make use of available platforms to spread positive values.

“As university students, you possess extraordinary potential. Use your knowledge, creativity, and influence to benefit others. Every positive effort will bring about change, even if it starts on a small scale,” he said.

To encourage student participation, the university granted class exemptions to students who attended the program. In addition, merit points were awarded in recognition of their active involvement in university activities.

According to a third-year student from the Faculty of Human Ecology, programs such as this provide valuable motivation for students to become more confident in developing their potential.

“The sharing session was highly relatable to student life. It served as a reminder that success does not happen overnight; rather, it requires consistent effort and a positive attitude,” the student said.

As part of efforts to enhance campus-wide participation throughout Putra Synergy Month UPM 2026, the organizers also introduced a Special Grant worth RM5,000 for the Responsibility Centre (PTJ) that records the highest physical attendance at the programs organized during the campaign.

This program was among the key highlights of Putra Synergy Month UPM 2026, which aims to strengthen the spirit of togetherness, increase engagement among the university community, and support UPM’s aspirations toward organizational excellence and holistic human capital development.

The organization of such programs reflects UPM’s commitment to providing platforms for knowledge sharing and inspiration that are relevant to the needs of today’s generation, while nurturing graduates who are competitive, ethical, and socially responsible.
