Serdang, 13 February 2026 – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Sarawak received an official visit from officers of the Bursar’s Office, Universiti Putra Malaysia Serdang, in conjunction with the Bursar’s Office Customer Day and a briefing on the implementation of the Non-Government Funds Guidelines (GPDBK).

The two-day programme was held at the Administration Building Lobby, Lecture Hall Complex 2A, and Dewan Sri Kenyalang. It featured engagement sessions between the UPM Sarawak Finance Division and the wider UPM Sarawak community, together with representatives from the Bursar’s Office and the Registrar’s Office.

Among the key highlights of the programme were:

• Discussions on financial matters with the Head of Division and staff of the UPM Sarawak Finance Division.

• A human resource management briefing by Mr. Muhazam bin Mansor, Registrar of UPM.

• A briefing on the Endowment, Donation and Contribution Guidelines by Ms. Siti Amira binti Shukor, Bursar of UPM.

• A briefing on the Non-Government Funds Guidelines (GPDBK) by Ms. Junaida binti Adan, Head of Division, Development and Chancellery Finance Section, UPM.

• A briefing on Monthly Tax Deduction (PCB) issues by Ms. Nur Asriati binti Jasmi, Head of Division, Staff Finance Section, UPM.

• The Bursar’s Office Customer Day session, which provided an opportunity for UPM Sarawak staff to engage directly with UPM’s financial management team regarding scheduled tax deductions (PCB) and vehicle loans, following the increase in the loan limit.

The event was further enhanced by the 2026 Vice-Chancellor’s Address and Mandate, which emphasized the importance of sustaining the “True North: Soaring to Greater Heights” agenda, as well as strengthening the management of Non-Government Funds as a strategic approach to enhancing the university’s financial sustainability.
