SERDANG-12 NOVEMBER 2019: In conjunction with the 43rd Universiti Putra Malaysia Convocation, Rakan Bakti Putra in collaboration with the Bursar Office has taken the initiative by offering an ironing service to students that will be on stage from November 16-19.

In conjunction with the robe taking day of November 9-10, 2019, the RBP and the Bursar Office used this opportunity to offer direct robe ironing services to students taking the robe on the same day. The response received was very encouraging as the students received the robes in folding manners.

The service is led by 13 students and 5 staff of the Bursar Office with 7 ironing equipment consisting of steam and dry type iron. The service will be held in 2 different locations:

Time   : 9.00 am-4.00 pm

Location: Academic Hall

Date   : 16-19 November 2019

Time   : 9.00 pagi-4.00 petang

Location: Beside PKSSAAS

The first day of the service saw 111 customers get the service and all of them made great comments. Also on the first day, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) also tried the service. Mr Bursar, Haji Zulkiflee Othman was also present on the second day to provide support and encouragement to the students and staff involved. The total number of robes that have been ironed for 3 days is 224 pieces.

This service will continue in the future as demand is high and it is relevant to the appropriate time and location.
