SHAH ALAM, AUGUST 24, 2019 - The Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Bursar Office has shown a high level of sportsmanship by sending 39 players to represent Badminton, Netball, Women's Futsal, Petong, Golf and Chess to the SUPERVISOR Sports Carnival between the Treasurers 3rd Public University (SUKRIM), organized by University of Technology (UiTM),Shah Alam. The event was held on August 24, 2019 at the Shah Alam Uitm Sports Center. The sports carnival,that goes on from 8.30am until 7.00pm, runs smoothly with good weather and a harmonious atmosphere.

The SUKRIM for 2019 involves 13 Public Universities of Malaysia (UiTM, UPM, UIAM, PPUKM, USIM, USM, UMP, UPSI, UKM, UPNM, UMT, UTEM, UM) and approximately 500 participants. Among the sports games being played are Badminton, Netball, Futsal, Tennis, Table Tennis, Petong, Golf and Chess.

The overall winner of the SUKRIM for 2019 was won by the UiTM Treasurer's Office by winning 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. UPM Bursar's Office finished seventh with two silver medals for Petong and Chess and two bronze medals for Futsal Women and Golf.

The UITM treasurer, who is the co-ordinator of the program, said that "SUKRIM 2019 is held every 2 years for the purpose of bringing together the staff of the Office of the Treasurer of 13 UAs from all over Malaysia". He also announced the organizer of the 4th SUKRIM in 2021 is the Office of the Treasurer of the University of Science Malaysia.

The Bursar Office Sports and Welfare Club (KSKB) Committee has successfully organized and managed the Bursar Office team to represent the competition at the SUKRIM Carnival in 2019. The organization of the sports carnival has not only strengthened relations among the staff of the UA treasurer, but has also strengthened the staff among the Bursar Office staff and increase the spirit of sportsmanship among staff.
