SERDANG, 15 June 2026 – The Bursar’s Office organized the UPM Strategic Plan 2026–2030 Colloquium: Aspirations, Direction, and Commitment of the University Community in conjunction with Putra Synergy Month UPM 2026 at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Centre, UPM.

The program, organized by the Bursar’s Office and chaired by Ms. Siti Amira Shukor, UPM Bursar, brought together members of the University Board of Directors, members of the University Management Committee, Heads of Responsibility Centres, and the UPM community to discuss the university’s strategic direction for the period 2026 to 2030.

The colloquium, which commenced at 9:00 a.m., was led by the UPM Vice-Chancellor, Dato’ Prof. Ir. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah FASc, who emphasized the importance of unity and commitment among all members of the university community in realizing UPM’s strategic aspirations as a globally reputable university founded on academic excellence, research, and community service.

The event was further enhanced by the presence of the Chairman of the University Board of Directors, Dato’ Sri Jailani Johari, and the Director-General of Higher Education Malaysia, Datuk Professor Dr. Azlinda Azman, who officiated the launch of Putra Synergy Month UPM 2026.

In his welcoming address, the UPM Vice-Chancellor stressed that the UPM Strategic Plan 2026–2030 is a vital document that will guide the university in addressing the increasingly dynamic challenges of higher education while strengthening UPM’s position on the international stage.

The ceremony also witnessed the launch of several strategic university documents, namely the Universiti Putra Malaysia Planetary Health and Sustainability Blueprint, the Executive Summary of the UPM Food Security Blueprint in Mandarin, and the UPM Global Prominence Acceleration Plan 2026–2035.

Attendees also viewed a documentary video entitled “UPM Food Security: Seeds of Tomorrow,” which highlighted UPM’s role in strengthening the national food security agenda through research, innovation, and knowledge transfer.

The event concluded with a photography session and a visit to the exhibition area showcasing various strategic university initiatives. The program ended at 12:15 p.m.

The organization of the colloquium and the launch ceremony reflect UPM’s ongoing commitment to strengthening a culture of synergy, enhancing organizational excellence, and ensuring that the entire university community moves in unison toward realizing the university’s vision and mission by 2030
