Serdang, 30 July 2025 – The Workshop on the Review and Drafting of Treasury Circulars Malaysia (WP) for adoption at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) was successfully held on 30 July 2025 at the ACL Seminar Room, School of Business and Economics. The workshop ran from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and was attended by 30 participants comprising officers and assistant accountants from UPM.

The main objective of the workshop was to review all existing Treasury Circulars and to prepare revised versions of the circulars for adoption at the university level with appropriate amendments. The workshop began with a recitation of prayers by Mr. Muhammad Hafiz bin Amrullah, followed by a brief introduction and explanation by Ms. Yusnawati Mat Isa.

Throughout the session, several officers presented proposed amendments to various circulars, involving a total of 48 circulars that were reviewed. The presentation session saw a range of suggestions and feedback from participants, which will be taken into account for further improvement by the presenters.

In the afternoon, a focused discussion on the application of Treasury Instruction 58 (AP58) was held with Ms. Yusnawati. Following the discussion, the adoption of AP58 with amendments is expected to be implemented in the near future to ensure full compliance with prevailing financial regulations among UPM staff.

This workshop is expected to enhance understanding and compliance with financial policies and regulations, while ensuring that the university's financial management remains aligned with current Treasury requirements.
