- Establish accounts for new users of the accounting system by determining appropriate access
- Monitors and prepares reconciliation statements and performance reports of bank accounts, investment accounts and University trust accounts managed by the Accounting Division
- Secretariat of the University's Finance and Accounts Management Committee (JPKA) and prepares reports for meetings at the Ministry level
- Overseeing the University's fixed deposit and monitoring the money market activities managed by the Income Generation Section
- Manages the application for the opening of the petty cash and coordinates the submission of the balance statement at the end of each year
- Managing applications for the opening of the Trust Account and matters relating to the management of the University Trust Account
- Manage related processes under the Unclaimed Money Act 1965
- Manage the scholarship process for students receiving the Tan Sri Dr. Lim Goh Tong Endowment Scholarship
- Manage financial matters and prepare annual financial statements for the Pak Rashid Foundation (YPR)
- Manage and monitor the University's cash flow and bank account flow in terms of University receipts and money transfers
- Handles financial documents storage such as payment vouchers, receipts and journals with regard to internal control and document security features
- Manage matters relating to auditing of UPM's Annual Financial Statements
- Responsible for maintaining the University's general ledger, recording and reporting all University financial transactions including the annual reports of the University, Notes and Memorandums of the Cabinet on financial matters
- Coordinate scheduling, processing, and other activities related to the year-end closing process in preparing for the University and Group Annual Financial Statements as well as preparation for the new fiscal year
