Serdang, 4 March 2023 - The Bursar's Office has organized a ProFiNoF Program Implementation Planning and Refinement Workshop which was attended by 35 Finance Officers including UPM Bursar, Puan Hjh Izariahwati binti Mohd Isa. A two (2) day workshop starting on 3 to 4 March 2023 was held at Bangi Golf Resort Hotel. ProFiNoF is a program created through collaboration between Academic Leadership of Higher Education (AKEPT) and UPM which started on 10 September 2019 with funding from AKEPT of RM50,000.00 to develop a financial module and also implement Training for Top and Senior Management of Public Universities Not Financial.
In order to continue the implementation of the ProFiNoF program, on March 10, 2022, AKEPT agreed to channel an allocation of RM100,000.00 to UPM to run the Training program for two (2) years starting in 2022 and 2023. The Bursar's Office was given the responsibility of holding four (4) series of Training where two (2) training series were held in 2022 and two (2) training series in 2023. On 23 and 24 November 2022, the UPM Bursar Office successfully organized the ProFiNoF Program at the AKEPT Building, Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan with the presence 68 participants from 16 Public Universities.
The workshop held on 3 to 4 March 2023 aims to;

1. Study, examine and refine the management weaknesses of the ProFiNoF program which was held on 23 and 24 November 2022 by looking at the participants' survey and feedback from AKEPT through a discussion on 16 January 2023;

2. Improve and plan the update of the ProFiNoF program so that it is more interactive, effective and has a positive effect on the participants; and

3. Plan and organize preparations to implement the ProFiNoF program that will be held in August 2023.

Overall, the workshop for two (2) days has achieved the objectives and goals as planned and many improvement inputs have been shared to ensure the ProFiNoF program to be held in August 2023 is more successful.
