Serdang, 31 August 2022- After the thrilling judging on 29 August 2022, the Bursar's Office was once again showered with congratulations by UPM citizens when it was crowned as the winner of the Jalur Gemilang Flying Competition in the 65th Merdeka Threshold Celebration held at the Dewan Besar grounds, Center Culture & Art of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. The award was presented by the Honorable Dato' Vice Chancellor to the UPM Bursar in a ceremony attended by representatives of the Responsibility Center including representatives of the Bursar's Office totaling 30 people.

The excitement of the celebration on the night of August 30, 2022 was to celebrate the moment of 12 midnight to welcome the 65th anniversary of Independence Day on August 31, 2022. The ceremony that started at 9.30 pm witnessed the chant of 'Merdeka!Merdeka!Merdeka! as many as 7 times by the Vice Chancellor of UPM at exactly 12 midnight which was greeted enthusiastically and cheerfully by all the people present including the Bursar's Office.

Unforgettable memories for the members of the Bursar's Office after working hard throughout the preparations to win the Jalur Gemilang Flying Competition in conjunction with the UPM 2022 Semarak Merdeka Program organized by the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural & Arts Center. The cash prize received amounting to RM600, a round trophy and a participation certificate fueled the enthusiasm of all the Bursar's Office members to continue to progress and work harder in future competitions.
