SERDANG, 8 November 2023 - Fire rescue and extinguishing methods is an important aspect that needs to be mastered especially by committees involved with OSH such as the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSH), Bursar's Office. In connection with that, based on this requirement, the Bursar's Office has conducted a study visit to the Fire and Rescue Station, Precinct 7, Putrajaya. The visit was attended by 20 staff members and was led by Mr Mohd 'Akhi Abu Bakar as Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (OSH), Office of the Bursar.

The tour started at 9.00 am and upon arrival there, we were taken to the hall to listen to the Safety and Fire lecture. In addition, we were given information and introductions about the Occupational Safety and Health Department (JKKP) of the Fire and Rescue Department of Putrajaya Malaysia. This talk was delivered with enthusiasm by Senior Assistant Fire Superintendent Mr. Yuzaimie Bin Ahmad Kamil.

Next, we were also given instructions and demonstrations of fire extinguishing methods and training in the proper use of fire extinguishers. This information is very important and easy to understand. The staff of the Bursar's Office were also given the opportunity to try the correct fire extinguishing method and how to use the fire extinguisher to work properly

Hopefully this learning visit will benefit everyone and it is hoped that this kind of visit can be implemented annually to increase the knowledge of the AJK involved
