GRP FINANCIAL SYSTEM TRAINING AT UPMKB

SERDANG, 8 December 2023 – The Government Resource Planning (GRP) system developed by Syarikat Century Software (M) Sdn Bhd has started to be improved for use at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) from January 2024. Since GRP will be used by all UPM branches, UPMKB did not lag behind in accepting this change for the sake of convenience and speeding up the financial management process at the branch.

In connection with that, on 4-8 December 2023, a group of instructors from the company attended UPMKB to provide training according to the set modules. They consist of 7 instructors present at UPMKB to teach 19 modules consisting of modules in GRP and systems that integrate with GRP as in the following table:

The attendance of training participants consisted of staff from the Finance Division of the UPMKB Bursar's Office, staff from the Responsibility Center and staff from the Information and Communication Development Center (Idec), which included between 30-40 participants each day. The training which started at 8.30am ended at 5.00pm and was also attended by several officials from the UPM Serdang Bursar's Office online through the Google Meet platform. Officers from the UPMKB Bursar's Office also monitored the training provided for PTJ led by Mrs. Zuraida Abu Bakar.

It is hoped that in line with the wishes of the Financial Digitization Transformation committee, the training that was held can provide a full overview of the system usage procedures and processes that will occur during the implementation of the system that will take place from January 2024
