SERDANG - 16 August 2023 : The Semarak Merdeka Program is an annual program organized by the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Center and is a mandatory program leading up to independence day. As usual, the Bursar's Office will not miss out on participating in this program with meticulous preparation as a result of the combined efforts and ideas of all department staff.

On 16 August 2023, 8 judges attended the Read@Bursar foyer, Bursar's Office at 4.30pm to evaluate the activities carried out by the Bursar's Office in the Jalur Gemilang Kibar competition in conjunction with the Semarak Merdeka program. This program, held in conjunction with Malaysia's 66th independence day celebration on 31 August 2023, will be joined by 31 centers of responsibility. The staff of the Bursar's Office have been working hard to prepare the independent project at least two weeks before the competition. Some creative results have been prepared by the staff of the Bursar's Office such as the 66th independence day logo banner which is Malaysia Madani using the handprints of all the staff of the Bursar's Office and some other results that use second-hand items and are processed into flags, umbrellas and others.

A total of 6 judges and 2 observer judges have come to evaluate the creativity of the Bursar's Office. Apart from that, the staff of the Bursar's Office also presented an acting and singing sketch at the program.

The Bursar's Office is the champion of the Jalur Gemilang Competition for 2 consecutive years. It is hoped that in 2023 the Bursar's Office will remain the champion
