SERDANG-January 12, 2024: The implementation of procurement through the Tender Wizard has been applied at the UPM Teaching Hospital (now known as the Sultan Abdul Aziz Hospital-HSAS) from March 2021. After more than 2 years of its use at HSAS, it will begin to be implemented at the main campus of UPM Serdang as well as at UPM Bintulu campus simultaneously with the implementation of the Putra Finance Financial System from 1 January 2024.
In line with that, a series of briefings were held for vendors and Responsibility Center (PTJ) staff on January 3 - 4, 2024, January 9, 2024 and January 11, 2024 which were delivered directly by Smart Tender representatives for the purpose of filling templates and system access by vendors.
The online briefing for vendors at UPM Serdang Campus, which was held for 2 days on 3 and 4 January, was attended by nearly 390 suppliers who had registered with UPM's MyVendor. In this session, UPM suppliers will be introduced to the Tender Wizard system and informed about the change in registration fees if they wish to participate in procurement through quotations and tenders that will be implemented through the TW system. In addition, suppliers are also shown how to provide feedback on price bid documents and specification bids
PTJ joint sessions at the Serdang Campus and the Bintulu Campus were held respectively on 9 and 11 January 2024 and were attended by 316 people at UPMS and 42 people at UPMKB and staff were shown methods to prepare offer documents and prices and specifications before they could be approved by the procurement department .
