SERDANG: AUGUST 27, 2019 - MyVendor application is being developed to make it easier for all suppliers interested in joining the UPM market by signing up for this system at a service fee of RM50.00 per year. In addition, suppliers will also be notified of quote and tender advertisement online based on relevant field code and sale of quotation and tender document online.
In light of this latest technological initiative, a software application briefing was held on August 16, 2019 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UPM, attended by about 400 suppliers from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. The purpose of the briefing was to provide information to new and existing suppliers on the applications and implementation of the My-Vendor system, which will go into effect on September 1, 2019 at UPM
The briefing was delivered by the Head of Procurement Finance Division, Bursar's Office, Mrs Norlian Ismail. According to her "the benefit of the MyVendor system is that it is the process of inviting quotes to eligible suppliers across a wider location and that the expiry of the registration period for the suppliers can be made online"
She also added that having this system would reduce bureaucracy and technical errors and thus increase the efficiency of supplier registration management at UPM
