SERDANG, 17 June 2023 – A bowling match organized by Bank Islam (Malaysia) Berhad was held last Saturday at Wangsa Bowl, One Utama. The bowling competition was organized with the aim of strengthening cooperation between BIMB and the bursar offices of public universities around the Kelang Valley. Among the universities involved are Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), UITM, UTMKL and Universiti Malaya (UM).
Before starting the competition, each leader representing each public university is invited to give an opening speech. Mrs. Izariahwati bt. Mohd Isa as UPM Bursar gave a welcome and opening speech to represent the team from UPM. Next, the heads representing each public university were given the opportunity to make the first throw, thus inaugurating the bowling competition on the day.
The UPM Bursar's Office has sent 8 teams out of a total of 36 competing teams where each team consists of 3 players. The competition takes place from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The prize giving session to the winners for each university took place at around 1pm.
First place was won by a team consisting of Mohd Asri Bin Abdullah, Nur Ezrin Binti Abdol Rahim and Nor Azima Binti Abd Malek. Second place was won by a team consisting of Muhammad Sauffi Bin Ideris, Norazura Binti Ali and Mohamad Halim Bin Mohamad Wahab. Third place was won by a team consisting of Azahari Bin Mohamad, Nur Maizurida Binti Ibrahim and Azzira Binti Abdul Aziz.
The highest score in the men's category was won by Mohamad Halim Bin Mohamad Wahab, followed by Muhammad Sauffi Bin Ideris in second place and Ezzi Farhan Bin Rosdi in third place. For the female category, the highest score was won by Nur Ezrin Binti Abdol Rahim, second place was won by Nor Azima Binti Abd Malek and third place was won by Nur Maizurida Binti Ibrahim. Consolation prizes are also provided to the male and female players who collect the lowest points throughout the competition. The bowling competition on the day ended and dispersed around 1.30pm.

Hopefully the cooperation and sportsmanship between the bank and the public universities will be able to inject motivation within and improve the quality of the organization's work
