Serdang, 2025 – Although the Putra Finance System and its support systems have been in use for a year, the Bursar's Office still needs improvements to the process and reporting to ensure that the financial information issued and used by stakeholders is accurate and reliable. In this regard, the Financial System Empowerment Workshop starting from 11 June 2026 until 30 June 2025 was implemented and attended by all levels of Bursar's Office staff. A total of seven (7) workshop series were implemented according to the main modules in the Putra Finance (GRP) financial system, namely:
Series 1: Budget Module (11/6/2025; 9.00 am – 4.30 pm)
Series 2: Payment Module (13/6/2025; 9.00 am – 4.30 pm)
Series 3: E-Claim Module (19/6/2025; 2.00 pm – 4.30 pm)
Series 4: Revenue and SAS Module (18/6/2025; 9.00 am – 4.30 pm)
Bank Reconciliation Statement (20/6/2025; 2.00 pm – 4.30 pm)
Series 5: Payroll Module (26/6/2025; 2.00 pm – 4.30 pm)
Series 6: Asset Module (26/6/2025; 9.00 pm – 1.00 pm)
Series 7: Report Design All Modules (30/6/2025; 9.00 am – 5.00 pm)
Participants in this workshop consist of Accountants, Assistant Accountants and Financial Administration Assistants in the Bursar's Office who are directly involved in the operation of the main modules in the GRP System. While the speakers and moderators for the series according to the modules are Puan Noraini Abdullah, Puan Junaida Adan, Puan Binti Hajera Tahir, Puan Safina Diana Jamaludin, Puan Yusnawati Mat Isa and Puan Junaidah Md Isa.
The main purpose of organizing this workshop is to follow up on issues that arose in the GRP system during the account closure process on December 31, 2024.
As an improvement measure, the Bursar's Office has taken the initiative to organize a Financial System Empowerment Workshop to identify the real cause of the problem from the initial stage, as well as formulate short-term and long-term solutions so that the account closure process in 2025 can be implemented smoothly and perfectly through the GRP system.
Throughout the course of this workshop series, various information was shared by the speakers to all participants, especially regarding the preparation of reports, review and adjustment of integrated data, and the correct method of operating the GRP system according to the relevant modules.
This ongoing effort reflects the Bursar's Office's commitment to ensuring that the university's financial system is always relevant, competitive, and in line with compliance requirements and operational needs. The improvement measures resulting from the findings of this workshop will continue to be monitored and improved from time to time through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders.
