SERDANG, 27 December 2025 – In line with the principles of good governance and to ensure that UPM’s procurement activities are implemented in a well-planned and systematic manner, the preparation of the Annual Procurement Plan (PPT) is essential before the start of the upcoming year. Each Responsibility Centre (PTJ) is required to plan and complete its PPT according to the stipulated timeline so that UPM’s overall procurement plan can be submitted to the Ministry of Finance Malaysia before 15 January 2026.
To support this process, an online briefing was conducted on 27 December 2025 for all PTJ representatives, providing detailed guidance on completing the PPT through the e-tender system. The session recorded a strong participation of 195 attendees, consisting of staff and administrators responsible for entering data into the system.
The briefing was delivered by the Head of the Procurement Management Finance Division, Puan Noraini binti Abdullah, who emphasized the importance of accurate PPT preparation in accordance with proper procedures. She also highlighted common mistakes to avoid to ensure a smooth and compliant procurement process.
In addition, she stressed the importance of incorporating government policies in the preparation of the PPT, including the MySTi Policy and Green Procurement, to ensure that UPM’s procurement aligns with national priorities and supports sustainability initiatives.
The session, which began at 9.30 a.m., concluded at 11.00 a.m. after a question-and-answer segment where participants were given the opportunity to seek further clarification.
It is hoped that this briefing will benefit all PTJ and contribute to strengthening UPM’s overall procurement planning and management for the coming year.
