Serdang-15 August 2024: SUKUM 2024 has proven that sports are an effective unifying tool, crossing the boundaries of race, religion, and country. Similarly, at SUKUM 2024, 3 staff from the Bursar's Office also participated in order to dignify the UPM sports industry in the national arena. The Bursar's Office represented by Mr. Mohamad Asri Abdullah for the sport of Petanque where he was partnered with Mr. Mohamad Halim bin Mohamad Wahab, as well as Ms. Syarifah Marlia binti Syed Hardan in the Women's Futsal competition.
The departure of all the athletes to Universiti Malaysia Sabah was celebrated with much excitement accompanied by prayers so that the success in favor of UPM would not be in vain when UPM was crowned as the Overall Champion of SUKUM 2024 showing excellent performance at the national level.

The results of the competition recorded a proud success. The group Petanque tournament represented by Mr. Halim and Mr. Asri won the bronze medal while the Women's Futsal tournament managed to bring home the silver medal.

This success was greeted with joy by all the people of the Bursar's Office. They are very proud of this achievement and hope that the sportsmanship shown by these athletes will continue to inspire all the people of the Bursar's Office. Hopefully this success will strengthen interest and participation in sports, as well as motivate more individuals to get involved in sports activities in the future. With high enthusiasm and dedication, the UPM Bursar Office is determined to continue to support and dignify the sports industry in the future.
