The Sports & Welfare Club of the Bursar’s Office (KSKB), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), organised a Maulidur Rasul 1448H Lecture themed “The Revered Prophet, Our Role Model” as part of its spiritual programme in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration. The programme was organised to foster greater appreciation of the life and struggles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), while encouraging participants to emulate his exemplary character in their daily lives.

Held online at 11.00 a.m., the lecture was delivered by Ustaz Idzhar Jumali, an independent religious speaker and vocalist of the nasyid group Nowseeheart. His insightful presentation provided staff of the Bursar’s Office with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Prophet’s life, noble character and Sunnah, particularly in the context of daily life and the workplace.

The programme aimed to strengthen love and appreciation for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), while encouraging participants to reflect on his exemplary character and Sunnah as a guide towards a more meaningful and harmonious life. The values highlighted also emphasised the importance of developing a workforce that upholds integrity, trustworthiness, accountability, good character and mutual respect in carrying out their responsibilities.

In addition, the lecture provided an opportunity for participants to engage in self-reflection by drawing inspiration from the noble qualities of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to enhance personal development, strengthen relationships among colleagues and foster a more harmonious and positive working environment.

Organised by the KSKB Spiritual Bureau, the programme also served as a platform to strengthen bonds of friendship and fellowship among staff of the Bursar’s Office. Spiritual programmes such as this not only provide meaningful and beneficial enrichment but also contribute towards the holistic development of staff and their overall well-being.

The participation of Bursar’s Office staff in the programme reflects a shared commitment to cultivating noble values, strengthening personal character and fostering greater awareness of the importance of religious values in both daily life and the workplace.

It is hoped that programmes of this nature will continue to be organised as a platform to enhance appreciation of the life and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), while strengthening unity, well-being and a sense of togetherness among the staff of the Bursar’s Office.

This initiative is also in line with UPM’s aspiration to nurture university personnel who are not only committed to excellence in carrying out their duties and responsibilities, but who also uphold integrity, outstanding character and strong moral values in contributing towards organisational excellence.
