Serdang-On 25 March 2025: CIMB Bank held a briefing on the CIMB@WORK program at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This briefing took place at the Serdang Briefing Room, Bangunan Canselori Putra UPM, starting at 10 am. The briefing session was attended by 6 CIMB representatives from CIMB UPM and CIMB Serdang Perdana, as well as representatives from the Bursar's Office, Registrar's Office, Sultan Abdul Aziz Hospital, and several other responsibility centers at UPM. Most of the participants were found to have bank accounts that channel their monthly salaries to CIMB or made CIMB an option for other savings accounts or continuous credit use.
The main purpose of this briefing was to introduce CIMB products and services that can be utilized by UPM staff. These include banking, loans, investments, as well as the advantages and facilities provided to UPM staff through the CIMB@WORK program. This briefing also emphasized the importance of financial planning through Sun Life Insurance & Takaful insurance products which help staff make better and more effective financial decisions.
In addition, participants were given information on the advantages of grants and benefits that can be obtained from insurance products. This briefing was attended by more than 50 participants from various departments at the UPM Bursars Office. This briefing ended with a closing speech from the CIMB UPM Branch Manager, Mr. Mohd Rizal Mahsan, welcoming participants to the nearest bank branch to obtain CIMB services or products. It is hoped that with this exposure, UPM staff can take advantage of the opportunities offered by CIMB to improve their financial well-being.
