Serdang, 13 November 2025 – A 2025 Account Closing Briefing was held on 13 November 2025 (Thursday) at Auditorium 2, Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The briefing began at 2.30 p.m. Approximately eighty-five (85) participants attended, consisting of PTJ Administration Heads, officers, and support staff responsible for financial tasks at their respective PTJs.
The purpose of this briefing was to provide guidance and understanding to all PTJs in UPM regarding the procedures to be followed before the account closing at the end of 2025. The briefing was delivered by the Chairperson of the Payment Committee, Puan Yusnawati Mat Isa. During the session, Puan Yusnawati highlighted several important dates that all PTJs must adhere to. Each PTJ must ensure strict compliance with the given deadlines to avoid complications after the account closing. The briefing also covered key components of financial management, including Budget, Procurement, Payments, Revenue Management, Asset Management, and Trust Accounts.
Puan Yusnawati also explained the audit findings from the 2024 Financial Statements issued by the National Audit Department, reminding all PTJs to ensure that issues identified at certain PTJs do not recur elsewhere. She further emphasized the importance of compliance with financial documentation and advised PTJs to conduct internal coordination and take proactive steps for continuous process improvement.
The briefing also stressed the importance of transparency, accuracy of records, and adherence to financial procedures to ensure a smooth account closing and audit process. The session concluded with a Q&A segment, providing participants the opportunity to seek further clarification and address issues faced at their respective PTJs.
