August 27, 2025, Serdang – Beginning in 2024, the Bursar’s Office introduced the Computer Purchase Reimbursement Application (BBPK), offering an opportunity for all Management and Professional (M&P) Academic and Non-Academic staff at UPM’s Responsibility Centres (PTJ) to purchase personal computers or laptops and claim reimbursement in accordance with the approved value limits and current regulations.
Following this initiative, in 2025, the Bursar’s Office organized a Refresher Briefing Session on the Computer Purchase Reimbursement Application (BBPK) for all eligible M&P Academic and Non-Academic officers at UPM. The purpose of the session was to reinforce understanding of the procedures among the relevant officers.
The briefing was conducted online via the Google Meet platform and successfully attracted 83 participants. The main objective was to provide clear and up-to-date information on the BBPK application process and its requirements.
Topics covered during the session included the structure and membership of the BBPK Committee, eligibility criteria and categories of staff who are not eligible to apply, minimum computer specifications allowed, the application and claim process via the e-Claim system, as well as the responsibilities of applicants and PTJ administrators.
The session was delivered in a clear and detailed manner and included a Q&A segment, which provided participants with the opportunity to seek further clarification. It is hoped that this briefing will assist UPM officers in submitting their applications in a more organized and efficient manner, while avoiding mistakes that could affect the approval of claims.
Congratulations and thank you to all participants who took the time to attend the session. Together, we strive towards a more transparent and effective asset management system.
