SERDANG, 4 February 2022 - The pressure and challenges of facing the certification audit following SAGA compliance from the Accountant General's Department finally gave relief to all parties involved consisting of Bursar's Office staff, especially the secretariat in the Accounting Finance Division and the Information and Communication Development Center (Idec) when finally awarded the SAGA Follow -up Certificate of Compliance for the Accounting and Financial Application System.

This compliance audit was conducted by the Consulting Services Division, Accountant General's Department of Malaysia (BKPJANM) on 09 November 2021 via online apps. A total of 19 compliance criteria consisting of 11 functional criteria and 8 technical criteria were evaluated in this evaluation which UPM has successfully complied with all these criteria and submitted objective evidence to support the compliance.

UPM was awarded the SAGA Certificate of Compliance for the financial system used at the University in 2017. Based on the Accountant General of Malaysia Circular No. 3 of 2018, the Government decided that the Accounting and Finance Application System used by Government Agencies must comply with the Standard Accounting System For Government Agencies (SAGA) with the improvement of some technical criteria.

The highest appreciation and thanks to all parties involved either directly or indirectly in ensuring the success of UPM was awarded this Certificate of Compliance for the second time. Hopefully this award can inject the spirit of the Bursar Office staff to excel in providing the best service to all parties. Well done and Congratulations!
