SERDANG: 14 July 2020 - Procurement Management Finance Division, Bursar Office has held a workshop namely Review of ISO Document for Procurement Process on 14 July 2020 at the Serdang Briefing Hall Foyer.

The Head of Procurement Management Division said, the main objective of this workshop is to make continuous improvements to the University's procurement management as well as review documents such as procedures, guidelines, forms and work instructions to be in line with the Malaysian Treasury Circular and regulations in force.

“The last revision of procurement documents was in 2018, with the organization of this workshop, it is hoped that we can update the procurement documents which is always a reference of the Responsibility Center and also the Bursar Office itself.

"This workshop will focus on amendments to the guidelines consisting of thirteen (13) Support category guidelines and six (6) Operations category guidelines in line with the circular changes in force"

"Workshop participants were also divided into five groups to review and recommend amendments to relevant documents", she said in the opening speech of the workshop.

Other documents involved for amendment during the workshop were one (1) procedure, one (1) work instruction and nine (9) forms for the Support category, while for the Operations category were one (1) procedure and two (2) forms.

This workshop was attended by almost all newly appointed Procurement Committee members for a period of two (2) years to jointly contribute ideas to ensure that the latest procurement rules and procedures can be complied with by all parties managing the University procurement.
