SERDANG – 9 April 2026: The Asset Management & Staff Facilities Division, Bursar’s Office of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), organized the Asset Management System (SPA) Course at the Rashdan Baba Auditorium, TNCPI Building. The course was attended by a total of 379 Asset Officers and Assistant Asset Officers, comprising 49 officers from the Management & Professional group and 330 officers from the support group, representing 73 Responsibility Centres (PTJ). The course was conducted virtually and was also attended by Asset Officers and Assistant Asset Officers from Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak.

This course is an annual program consistently organized by the Asset Management & Staff Facilities Division, Bursar’s Office, for all Asset Officers and Assistant Asset Officers to provide explanations and enhance understanding of asset management procedures.

The course began with a welcoming speech by Puan Nur Asriati binti Mi, Head of the Asset Management & Staff Facilities Division, followed by a session delivered by Puan Junaidah binti Md Isa, Accountant from the same division. Participants were briefed on the roles and responsibilities of UPM officers in asset management, the applicable asset management procedures, and an explanation of the Asset Management System, particularly the Asset Disposal module, in the afternoon session. In addition, participants were informed about the latest guidelines regarding amendments to approval authority for asset disposal, which came into effect in January 2026.

It is hoped that this course will help provide a clearer and more detailed understanding of asset management procedures for Asset Officers and Assistant Asset Officers in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to them.
