Serdang, 7 July 2025 – The men's and women's futsal events were among the competitions held during SUSTAF 2025. These events showcased intense competition involving 8 team alliances (PTJs) from UPM. The men’s and women’s futsal matches took place on 5 July 2025 (Saturday) at the Futsal Court, Sports Academy, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Staff from the Bursar’s Office also participated in both the men's and women's futsal events. The G8 futsal teams, both men and women, delivered outstanding performances throughout the tournament, always fighting until the very last moment.

The men’s futsal team successfully overcame several challenges and ultimately emerged as champions of the event. This victory earned the G8 team 9 points, while the women's team was eliminated at the group stage and contributed 1 point to the team’s overall tally. Nevertheless, the strong team spirit, high discipline, and solid game strategies were key to G8's success. Every player showed great determination and fighting spirit throughout the matches. The defeat did not dampen the women’s team’s morale—instead, it became a source of motivation to strive for greater success in future editions of SUSTAF.

SUSTAF 2025 served as a valuable platform for strengthening bonds among UPM staff members. It is hoped that such tournaments will continue to uncover new talents who can represent the university in inter-public university staff sports events this year, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle within the campus community.
