Serdang, 31 August 2022- Universiti Putra Malaysia has successfully received the Auditor General's Certificate Regarding UPM's Financial Statements for the year ending 31 December 2021 for the umpteenth time. This Unqualified Certificate gives a true and fair view of the financial position of Universiti Putra Malaysia and the Group as at 31 December 2021 and the financial performance and cash flow for the year ended on that date in accordance with the Malaysian Public Sector Accounting Standards (MPSAS) and the requirements of the University Act and University College 1971 (Act 30) and the Constitution of Universiti Putra Malaysia. This Auditor General's certificate was signed on 26 August 2022 by the Auditor General
Despite receiving the Management Letter with several remarks, the Bursar's Office managed to show evidence that the audit's observations did not affect the true and fair view of the Financial Statements as a whole.
The auditing of UPM's financial statements was audited by a Private Auditor appointed by the National Audit Department, Mr. MNZWAJ Associates, which began on 17 May 2022 and ended on 5 July 2022 after UPM submitted its Financial Statements on 13 April 2022. The scope of the audit is in detail for all financial module. The cooperation given by the staff of the Bursar's Office to the audit party is very proud where it helps the audit party obtain documents and information quickly and accurately to enable the financial statements to be audited according to the standards in force
