The Semarak Merdeka 2024 program organized by the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Center (PKKSAAS) has offered three types of competitions, namely, Inter PTJ Merdeka Choir, Inter PTJ Merdeka Poetry Contest and Inter PTJ Jalur Gemilang Quiver in conjunction with the 67th National Independence Month. The Bursar's Office also participated in the Inter PTJ Jalur Gemilang Kibar competition this year and the trial was held on 14 August 2024 at the Centralized Operations Management Finance Division (BPOB), which is a separate place from other PTJs in the Putra Chancellery Building, at 4.40 pm

Bursar's Office Contingent led by Mr. Azizul Syahril Mohd Salleh and assisted by 35 staff from various divisions and sections. This competition was judged by a jury from PKKSAAS led by Mr. Husalshah Rizal Hussian, Mr. Khairul Zainal Abidin, Mr. Adidi Tamin, Mr. Amirul Iskandar Abdul Razak and Mr. Muhamad Risanuddin Fahmy Mohd Nasir and 10 other people are observer judges also from PKKSAAS.

The Bursar's Office has started the performance with a poem recited by the Bursar's Office staff as a duo, Ms. Wan Rozidayani Wan Mohammad and Mrs. Siti Harlizah Binti Rahman. The next performance was the Merdeka concert which was the singing of independence songs by 50 Bursar's Office staff led by Mrs. Suzanawati Ali and also joined by Mrs. Bursar and Senior Deputy Treasurer as well as Section Heads of each section. At the end of the performance, the Merdeka slogan was thrown 3 times, which was led by Mr. Mohd Hafiz Amrullah. The jury gave some positive comments before visiting the independence booth prepared by the staff. The program ended with the presentation of souvenirs to the judges and the program finished at about 5.15 pm
