Serdang, 19 February - On 19 February 2025, a briefing on individual taxation for the assessment year 2024 was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Auditorium. This program took place from 9.00 am to 12 noon, attended by a total of 388 participants. This briefing aims to provide exposure on the individual taxation system and the e-filing filling process in the correct way.

The ceremony started with a welcome speech from Pn. Yusnawati Mat Isa, Head of the Financial Division of Staff Facilities who welcomed the presence of the speaker and gave hope that this briefing would be beneficial and help staff to fill out e-filing more accurately and effectively

Encik Amat Azmi bin Hassan, Deputy Public Relations Officer from the Tax Education Unit, Inland Revenue Board (IRB), was invited as the main speaker in this session. He explained the importance of a thorough understanding of individual tax obligations and accurate e-filing procedures, especially for the assessment year 2024.

In addition, he also provided knowledge regarding various tax deductions that can be enjoyed by taxpayers as well as ways to avoid mistakes when filling out tax forms online. The participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions to get further clarification on taxation issues that often arise. This briefing is expected to help individuals carry out their taxation responsibilities more efficiently and accurately, as well as avoid errors in completing e-filing
